Hi, welcome to my blog. My name is Lacey Reed. I like to go by my nickname, Lacey, but my full name is Aleysa Colleen Reed.

Nay Nay is also one of my nicknames. My sister couldn't say my name when she was little so she call me Nay Nay and my family and friends call me that sometimes. Some people think that I have that nickname because I love horses so much. It works either way.

I have cerebral palsy (CP). The official diagnosis is quadraplegic athetoid C.P. which only means the part of my brain that tells my muscles what to do doesn't give out the right signals to the muscles. It affects my whole body including my speech. I also have specific language and processing disabilities.

My hobbies and interests include computers, horseback riding, art, music, special needs advocacy, rocks and gemstones, swimming, and going to Harstine Island. I am taking classes at Shoreline Community College here in Seattle, WA.

I like to ride horses.

I like to ride horses. I started riding horses out at LITTLE BIT THERAPEUTIC RIDING CENTER in Woodinville, WA when I was four years old. Riding horses for people who have certain kinds of disabilities is really helpful and good for our bodies because the movement of the horse helps us know where our bodies are in space and also helps us with our balance. I don't only like to go horseback riding because it helps my body. I also like the social part of my experience riding with other people who have the same or different kinds of disabilities.
